Crowds of press, tourists, and concerned Britons have gathered outside Buckingham Palace in London Thursday amid concerns over the health of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II.
A video shared by Twitter user @96mitchclarke shows numerous tents outside the palace where press crews have set up cameras awaiting further news of the queen.
Buckingham Palace announced Thursday that the queens doctors recommended she remain under medical supervision, adding that she “remains comfortable and at Balmoral.” Members of the British royal family traveled to Balmoral Castle in Scotland on the news.
Prince Charles, heir to the throne of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, arrived at Balmoral Thursday. The queens other children are also expected to attend.
Her eldest grandson, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, was en route to Balmoral Thursday per reports, as were Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
