Norway’s Princess Märtha Louise Is Viral Star After TikTok Collab With Jake Hunter
Princess Märtha Louise of Norway has become a surprise web hit for a series of TikToks with a creator renowned for performing pranks on “Karens.”
The princess has collabed with Jake Hunter, an LA-based TikTok and Instagram personality who has racked up views and followers for his outrageous stunts .
Märtha Louise, 50, lives in Los Angeles with her fiance Durek Verrett, 47, a self-professed shaman, who has posted the skits on his TikTok and Instagram accounts, racking up more than a million views.
In one of the videos, an apparent “Karen” threatens to perform a citizens arrest on Märtha Louise for “parking your car too close,” then calls the royal “princess,” apparently without knowing the true identity of the target of her rage.
Hunter, an Emmy-winning actor-turned-internet creator, had previously made videos in which the Karens are revealed to be actors – but whether the princess was the target for a real one’s rage or not is still unknown.
In another skit, Verrett responds to his fiancee’s request for a napkin by tearing off a passer-by’s top because “what the princess wants, the princess gets!”
The couple announced their engagement earlier this year after revealing their relationship in 2019.
Märtha Louise is a mother of three children with her late ex-husband Ari Behn. She is fourth in line to the Norwegian throne, but none of her children – daughters Maud Angelica, Leah Isadora, and Emma Tallulah – hold royal titles. She and Behn divorced in 2017 and he later died by suicide.
The princess does not use her title in her business life, where she practices as a clairvoyant.
Verrett, who changed his name from Derek to the Norwegian Durek, calls himself a sixth-generation shaman. He is a former model who is openly bisexual who was previously married to a Czech woman, and also engaged to his male business partner.
It is unknown how the couple came to collaborate with Hunter, whose TikTok @jakehunterofficial has more than three million followers.
