The Prince and Princess of Wales are traveling to Boston, Mass., Wednesday ahead of the 2nd annual Earthshot Prize ceremony on Friday, Dec. 2.
Inspired by U.S. President John F. Kennedys Moonshot, the Earthshot Prize is awarded for innovative solutions for saving the planet.
Prince William unveiled the fifteen finalists earlier this month, and five winners will be announced in a ceremony at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway.
A winner will be selected for each of five Earthshot categories, including cleaning air, reviving oceans, restoring nature, fixing the climate and creating a waste-free world.
While in Boston, Prince William will visit the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum with Ambassador Caroline Kennedy.
The Princess of Wales is scheduled to visit the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University.
