Queen Maxima of the Netherlands began the last leg of her West African trip in Senegal, where she is acting as a UN envoy for financial development.
The queen, 51, has a background in economics and currently holds the role of UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
During her first day in Senegal, the queen met with farmers to discuss sustainable business practices and saving for the future.
Perpetually stylish, the queen wore a comfy and casual, but chic, getup including a gorgeous skirt adorned with an African pattern.
Queen Maxima also visited the capital, Dakar, and attended meetings with local entrepreneurs and UN officials regarding inclusive fintech initiatives in the region.
