Viewers in the U.K. flocked to see the first three episodes of “Harry & Meghan” on Netflix, despite a slew of middling to negative press coverage of the documentary.
According to BARB, an independent U.K. ratings analyst, the first episode received 2.4 million viewers across the U.K. on its release day Dec. 8.
That figure is more than twice the number of viewers who tuned in to the Season 5 opener of “The Crown” last month, according to BARB data.
The first three episodes of the limited series covered the royal couples courtship and engagement, and took aim at the British tabloid press.
The final three episodes, out Dec. 15, promise to cover the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the years leading up to their move to the U.S.
