Queen Camilla Praises Elizabeth II At Event Honoring Young Writers

Queen Camilla had words of praise for the late Queen Elizabeth II at a reception Thursday for the winners of the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition.
The theme for this years essay was Our Commonwealth’, reflecting on Queen Elizabeth II’s seven decades of service, and the contributions we can all make to our societies.

Winners in the senior age group were Sawooly Li, 17, from New Zealand, and runner-up Amaal Fawzi, 17, who was born in Egypt and now lives in London.
In the junior age group, 14-year-old Madeleine Wood of Australia won for her poem, “Catalina,” and 13-year-old Maulika Pandey of India was the runner-up.
